Vegan Sorbet

Description: 

A recipe for a healthy, dairy free and vegetarian dessert. A tangy and crisp sorbet made from grapefruit juice and garnished with mint leaves.

Ingredients: 

3 grapefruits, juiced
1/2 cup sugar
Mint leaves

Directions: 

Combine the grapefruit juice and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Let the grapefruit mixture cool down before pouring it into a flat pan with high sides. Place in the freezer. Once ice crystals start to form, take a fork and stir vigorously, breaking the crystals up, and return to the fridge. Repeat this every half hour for about four hours.
Garnish with mint leaves before serving.

Tips: 

Once the sorbet is totally frozen, fluff it with a fork and give it another half hour in the freezer to solidify.
