A super easy recipe for making pizzas from scratch. Hot, oven-fresh pizzas were never this easy! Enjoy a pizza dinner tonight.
1 cup warm water
1 package active dry yeast
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine the water, yeast, and half of the flour in a large bowl. Mix well. Add the oil, salt, and remaining flour. Using a wooden spoon, mix the ingredients together you form the dough. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough sit until it has doubled in size.
Now place the dough on a lightly floured surface, divide it into two or more parts and roll into balls. Cover the dough balls with a towel and let them rest for 15 minutes. The pizza dough can now be shaped, topped and cooked.
While kneading the dough if you feel it is too sticky, sprinkle a little extra flour.
