Glazed ham is a traditional favorite. This recipe gives you delicious ham coated with a sparkling red glaze. A must for the holiday season!
1 boneless ham, fully cooked
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons lemon juice
ΒΌ cup dry white wine
1/3 cup seedless raspberry preserves
1 tablespoon butter
A few sprigs of parsley
Preheat oven to 325 deg. F.
Score ham in diamond shapes. Place on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Bake for 2 hours at 140 deg. F.
For the glaze:
In a small saucepan, blend the cornstarch with lemon juice. Stir in the wine and half of the preserves. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add the remaining preserves and butter. Take off the fire.
Brush the glaze over the ham. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Spoon any extra glaze over the ham. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Instead of baking the ham you can cook it on a gas grill or charcoal barbecue.
