Easy Sugar Cookie
A recipe for all time favorite sugar cookies. These cookies are so simple to make, you need not wait till Christmas to bake them. Try a batch today!
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup white sugar
1cup butter
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
4 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Combine the butter, powdered and white sugar and vegetable oil in a bowl. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Sift together the flour, salt, cream of tartar and soda. Add this flour mixture to the creamed mixture.
Cover and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Shape the dough into small balls and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each dough ball a little.
Bake at 375 deg. F for 12 minutes or till the cookies start turning brown.
Let the cookies cool completely before you store them.
