Description:

Make moist banana bread using this recipe that’s been passed down over generations. It’s quick and easy to prepare and you don’t even need a mixer for this.

Ingredients:

3 or 4 ripe, mashed bananas
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 deg. F. Using a wooden spoon, blend the butter with the mashed bananas in a large bowl. Next, add in the sugar, the egg, the vanilla extract. Mix in the salt and baking soda next. Add the flour last and give it a good mix.
Pour the mixture into a greased 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool and then turn out from the pan. Slice and serve.

Tips:

To get your banana bread to taste perfect, use over-ripe bananas with blackened skins.
